The dailies workflow is the critical link between production and post. Bill oversees the complete dailies pipeline from on-set data management and media offloads through to secure delivery of processed dailies to editorial, the director, and studio executives.
A well-managed dailies workflow protects the production's most valuable asset the footage while keeping the director and editorial team connected to the material in real time.
ON-SET WORKFLOW
Data Management
DIT and loader manage on-set offloads with verified checksums. Minimum two redundant copies before any media leaves set.
Camera Reports
All camera reports logged and cross-referenced with media. Any discrepancies flagged immediately.
Sound Sync
Dailies synced to production sound before delivery to editorial. All takes logged with scene and take numbers.
Color Dailies
DI facility or on-set DIT provides color-corrected dailies for director review.
DELIVERY & SECURITY
Secure Delivery
Dailies delivered via secure platforms (Aspera, Frame.io, PIX) with access controls and watermarking for studio and executive review.
Editorial Delivery
Transcoded editorial proxies delivered to the editor's cutting room, organized by scene and take.
Archive
All original camera media archived to LTO tape or cloud storage with verified checksums at the end of each shooting week.
Lab Coordination
Coordination with DI facility for color dailies, VFX pulls, and any special processing requirements.
